Multiple award-winning international singer Nana Richard Abiona, better known by his stage name Fuse ODG has expressed  excitement about being a Ghanaian and urged the general public as well as his colleagues in the industry to love and appreciate the nations rich cultural values to the world.

The TINA advocate during a press soiree with some bloggers and media people at his mansion in East legon emphasized that by showcasing our culture, it will boost the countries image intertionally.

He said " I am so passionate about being a Ghanaian. I try as much as I can to promote Ghana to the world through my music by showing  the amazing, rich culture of Ghana. I'm also making efforts to bring more international acts to experience Ghana. I believe as Ghanaians we should love, appreciate and promote our nation and also love ourselves more".

Fuse gave the media a little tour of his New Africa Nation dull factory as well as launch his latest single and video titled  "Boa Me" ft Edshereen and produced by killbeat.

This will be the second time the ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone’ hitmaker will mount the Badu Lounge stage.

The Native Tongue Soul Festival marks the grand opening of the only lounge designed to push music performance in the capital – Badu Lounge.

The festival also aims to promote the live band and alternative music in the industry.

e.TV Ghana has rewarded 3 hairdressers and barbers who emerged winners of the indigenous hairdressing and barbering competition organized over the weekend as part of the e.TV Made in Ghana exhibition.

As part of the competition, judges gave the barbers and hairdressers from the Hairdressers Association of Ghana were given specific indigenous styles to create on the heads of some selected individuals.

According to the judges, the creativity exhibited by the barbers and hairdressers indicate that Ghanaians are very creative and talented people.

Tinny Entertainment frontline act and rapper Oludemilade Martin Alejo, popularly known by his stage name YCEE a few days ago had taken screenshots of an article written on Tinny Entertainment, which was published on YNaija on “The Death of Nigerian Labels, Dearth of Hip-Hop Crews and Tinny Mafia“.

He posted this screenshot on his Instagram page in a multiple-image format and captioned it, “FACTS ONLY WE COMING 💪🏿💪🏿 #TINNYMAFIA”

Until Caroline Sampson Comes Out Clean, I won’t Let Go - Mzbel

Almost a year after it was reported that TV presenter Caroline Sampson had to quit her role as co-host of the award-winning Celebrity Fanzone because of Mzbel, the controversial songstress has insisted that she is not ready to forgive Caroline.

This is not the first time the former close pals have been in the news.

Caroline made certain statements sometime last year while co-hosting Celebrity Fanzone about the paternity of Mzbel’s son, which the songstress did not take lightly.

Although Caroline came out to defend what she said and explained that she didn’t mean to put Mzbel in a bad light, the latter was adamant and set social media ablaze with several attacks.

Asked on Celebrity Fanzone last Saturday whether she has made up with her former friend, Mzbel responded, “No, and I don’t think I will ever be nice… It’s hard.

The answer is no. I can’t help it. It hurts. Until she comes out to say that she lied, then I can let go but otherwise it is just too heavy for me.”

Yaw Sarpong Gets Honorary Doctorate Degree

LEGENDARY Ghanaian gospel artiste, Osomafo Yaw Sarpong, has received an honorary doctorate degree in Sacred Music from the Ecclesiastical Bishop Leaders Conference of Africa (EBLCA), an affiliate of the Kayiwa International University, Uganda.

At a colourful event held in Accra last Saturday, Mr Sarpong, who is celebrating 40 years of a blissful music career, was decorated with the title for his invaluable contributions to the development of the country’s gospel music industry.

His band, the Asomafo Band, was also presented with a plaque in recognition of its support to the gospel music icon.

PRISON PROJECT

Currently, Mr Sarpong is working on an initiative dubbed: “The Prison Project” with the aim to touching and transforming lives in the country’s prisons.

The project, which was launched on August 26 this year, seeks to establish music centres in all the prison facilities in the country to help rehabilitate the inmates.

He has signed a six-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ghana Prison Service Board to allow the iconic gospel musician to implement the project.

“We want to restore hope to prisoners through music. So in the next six years, the focus will be to build music centres across the prisons because there are talents among the inmates that need to be developed,” Mr Sarpong told the Daily Graphic.

On Saturday, September 23rd, The Culture Fest Event hosted by Mr Eazi, drew crowds by the multitude at Roundhouse London.

The event featured performances from various artists ranging from Dancers, DJs, Comedians, Fashion exhibition, Dance Competition and to cap it all good music.

The Event hosted by Eddie Kadi and Adesope saw performances from Wande Coal, Fuse ODG, Eugy, Smalldoctor, Kah Lo, The Compozers, Biso Kdei, Kwamz & Flava, DJ Juls, DJ Spinall, DJ Edu, DJ Cuppy, DJ Naijaboi, Dj P Montana and DJ Sawa among many other major acts.
