Stop Blaming DJ's When You Are Not Able To Hit - DJ Vyrusky

The frustrations of being an underground artiste is very real and this makes them go around blaming anything and anyone at all for not being able to make a hit within the shortest possible time.

One of the highest receivers of this blame by underground artistes are DJ's. Most of these musicians are of the view that DJ's focus more on the mainstream musicians without paying enough attention to them thereby, making their artworks rot in the dungeon of "unknowingness".

However, DJ Vyrusky, one of the most prominent DJ's in Ghana has a  different view on the matter.

CHEMPHE TURNS TO GOSPEL

Chemphe has had some really awesome songs to his credit after he debuted with “No Pampanaa” over a decade ago. He got the heads of people nodding and the intelligent minds speak publicly against domestic violence and abuse after he dropped “Why you dey beat am” hit.

The talented musician did not relent but dropped several other hits. However, after a period of silence; a period he believed was used for reflection; he finally has welcomed and accepted his divine call.

He acknowledged his silence in the music industry for these few years to the fact that had to go through a preparation time with God and is excited to kick-start the next and new phase of his life and career.

He has decided to change over from his urban life music which is a blend of all cultures of music genre to gospel. Chemphe will be up against real tough and established giants in the gospel industry but he does not think he is in a competition with anyone. “I was born with the gift of singing and I want to pursue that vision because that is what has been bubbling in me ever since I can remember”, he told this reporter.

THE STORY OF WORKPLACE FASHION RETOLD - MEET THE CEO OF RHOLIN APPARELS, DR. LINDA DANLADI

Assertive, audacious and level-headed are words that have been used to describe this delectable young lady, Dr. Linda Danladi. Having showed perseverance in all educational institutions she has been to and having been a stellar individual in all aspects of her life, it is not surprising to see her branch out from the mainstream to bring something nouveau to the fore.

Something avant-garde in Ghanaian fashion circles. She is the CEO of Rholin Apparels, previously Six Sigma Apparels, the premier trendy, safety apparel line in Ghana.

Margaret Fuller, the first female book reviewer in journalism, once said “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader” and same can be said about Dr. Danladi. She invested an appreciable amount of time acquiring knowledge through wide reading. This broadened her scope of thinking, including thinking outside the box, and analyzing issues, making her a solution oriented individual.

She decided in early adulthood to pursue medicine because that was what she has always been passionate about through encounters at the hospital on a personal level and experiences with ill family and friends. She did not relent on the prospects of becoming one of the best doctors in the world.

If I Wanted To Attack Charterhouse, I wouldn’t Need Help From Irrelevant David Oscar - DKB

It seems that the entertainment is always flooded with controversies and celebrity feuds. Recently we witnessed a feud between Efia Odo and Fella Makafui. Now it is the turn of comedian cum Reggae musician David Oscar and Derrick Kobina Bonney (D.K.B).

According to David Oscar, DKB is a hypocrite. “Are you not the self-imposed king of GH comedy, so why don’t you fight them? You are friends with George Quaye, are you not? Although you and I, we teamed up to create anonymous accounts on tweeter to attack the likes of George Quaye, Nii Ayi Tagoe and others.

They see you as a friend, don’t they? I am sure they see you as a friend because you are the good guy and David Oscar is the bad guy. Now you are coming to me to go and attack Charter House but I said no! I won’t do that. You are a hypocrite. Why don’t you go and fight them yourself?” David Oscar said in an interview with Accra based radio station Okay Fm.

Reaching out to DKB to tell his part of the story he said “If I want to attack Charter House, I wouldn’t need Irrelevant David Oscar to help me. He said he has retired from comedy to do music, so why would I need a musician to help fight for comedians? Truth is, I never wanted to attack Charter House, and rather I wanted to do a Ghcomedy episode of upcoming TV show, so that we celebrate comedy from where it was to where it is now.

When I called him [David Oscar] I told him not to mince his words, and if he would have to “bash” Charter House for the struggle they put comedians through, he should do so but in a very justifiable manner. On that episode, it would be myself, KSM and him [David Oscar]. He agreed to do it, only for me to hear on the radio that he is accusing me of calling him to go and attack Charter House on my behalf, why would I do that?”

Feminism Should Be Aggressive In A ‘Male Entitlement’ Society- Akosua Hanson

Controversial feminist, Akosua Hanson, has insisted that feminism should be expected to be aggressive especially in a “patriarchal world where there is this system of male entitlement.”

Responding to question as to why feminism seems to be very aggressive in Ghana, the co-host of Celebrity Fanzone told host Andrew Tandoh Adote on the Tonight Show on Joy Prime that, “all feminism is saying is that humanity cannot survive with this lopsidedness in approaching the world.”

“The comments about feminism being aggressive is expected especially if you are living in a patriarchal world where there is this system of male entitlement, so anyone who has benefited in that system would just naturally feel like my power is gonna be taken away from me by these people. When what feminism is, is actually a human right thing,” the beautiful presenter stated.
